Dr. Barnes wanted to be a doctor because he enjoys the challenge that medicine poses by combining the art and science of individual medical care. He enjoys the internal medicine specialty because of the interaction and relationship he builds with patients while advising them on their health and treating acute and chronic diseases.
Dr. Barnes grew up in Itasca, TX, is married to his wife Sherry, and has three grown sons and one daughter; Craig, Kent, Scott, Amanda.
